Volunteer at The Cornish Fair

The Cornish Fair Association is always seeking community members interested in volunteering or joining the Board of Directors.

Volunteers can support the fair in a variety of ways throughout the year doing grounds work and maintenance, special projects, and supporting the Directors during the weekend of the fair.

Directors are responsible for the prudent oversight of the fair through monthly meetings, committee work, and on-site responsibilities during the fair weekend.

Pre-Fair Setup

We spend the week before the fair taking items out of storage, cleaning them, and then setting them up. You could be painting, washing chairs, setting up benches, installing snow fence - or even help setup the Fair History Museum! Send us an email and we will connect you with a Fair Director who can coordinate your passion with our task list.

Gym Exhibit Sitter

Great opportunity for folks to volunteer away from the sun and heat!

Free entry tickets are available for those who volunteer more than four hours – notify Virginia at cornishfairgymexhibits@gmail.com if you would like to take advantage of this opportunity – or if you have any questions at all!

Admission Ticket Clerk – In Partnership with Cornish Community Parent Teacher Organization

Volunteers work at the entrance gates selling tickets to fairgoers. The shifts are 2-3 hours long and it is always a fun time. If you are looking for a fun way to give back to your community, this is a great opportunity!

The CCPTO earns a portion of the entrance ticket sales in return for coordinating volunteers, then we financially support enrichment opportunities at the Cornish Elementary School. If you haven't volunteered with us before, we welcome and support new volunteers, we give a run-down on the tasks before you come for your shift. Golf Cart Drivers

We shuttle our fairgoers (and their stuff) around the grounds with golf carts!

Four hour shifts that come with a free entry ticket.

Tractor People Mover Drivers

A volunteer for this must have experience with driving a tractor and trailer.

We pick up or drop off our fairgowers from the School and the Parsonage South Lots to the Parsonage South Ticket Gate. Around and around you'll go!
